Fletchers Solicitors says its revenue increased by 47% to £113.3m in the year to April 2026, while underlying EBITDA rose by 156% to £18.0m. The firm’s CFO-reviewed update says average employee numbers increased from 791 to 1,160, reflecting both organic growth and acquisitions.
The firm lists acquisitions completed during the financial year, including Shoosmiths’ Serious Injury practice, Rayden Solicitors, EMG Solicitors and JE Bennett Law. Since the year end, Fletchers says it has also added Freeths’ clinical-negligence practice and associated Court of Protection business.
Fletchers says the acquisition of Moore Barlow’s personal-injury and clinical-negligence teams and Aspire Law is expected to complete on 1 November 2026. The firm’s stated expectation of more than 1,500 colleagues is therefore conditional on that future completion and is not presented here as a current headcount.
Why it matters
This is a specific firm-results and workforce-scale update from a Manchester-headquartered national firm. It does not establish a broader legal-services growth trend.
